Dog walking in the winterNovember is a great month to get out and enjoy the cooler weather. Just remember to keep your little darlings safe and sound while you’re out.  It’s more dangerous for outdoor felines and small dogs in the cold weather as wild animals come closer to towns searching for food. Sometimes cats and other small animals get cold and sleep under the hoods of cars, so please bang on the hood of your car before starting it if you parked outside!

Snow makes for beautiful morning walks and great fun in the dog park! Just be careful when you go off leash as dogs can lose their scent and easily become lost. More dogs are lost during the winter than any other season, so make sure yours always wears ID tags and that your chips and tattoos are up to date at the vet! Post walk be careful to wipe your pup’s legs and stomach as coolant or antifreeze could be on their body or caught in the snow. Coolant and antifreeze are lethal to our pets so be aware and make sure to keep every one safe in the snow!
